The launch event for the Transglobal Car Expedition was hosted on 9th January 2024 at the Explorers Club New York and was a big success. Check out the press release.
The journey started today, 10th January 2024, with Erebus, a CosmicPi unit, on board one of the expedition trucks!
Team CosmicPi is proud to be a partner and very excited to be transported along this ambitious journey.
Transglobal will cover more than 50000 km, attempting both the antartica crossing and the artic crossing.
Several scientific initiatives are endorsed by the Transglobal Car Expedition, including adaptation to extreme environments and telemedecine, promoting citizen science, studying cosmic rays, studying artic sea ice thickness, monitoring light pollution and searching for dark matter.
